I am a Research Associate on the APT and COMSTAR projects, having joined the team in June 2025. I work on the mixed methods process evaluation and conducting the national survey. Prior to this, I worked in the School of Law on an ERC-funded Horizon 2020 project. This involved designing and running a national evaluation (randomised controlled trial) of an intervention to improve children and young people’s legal capability. I was also a University Teacher with Sheffield's Politics department, where I was convenor for various UG and PGT modules including research design and methods. I have taught at the Universities of East Anglia, Bristol and Leicester and also worked for AOL Media-Huffington Post.

I am interested in (Realist) evaluation of interventions in real world settings and am also focused on creating and communicating impact, having written the ICS for the Law project. I am also an honorary research fellow with the ERC-funded Third Nuclear Age project. My research interest in International Relations examines the use of discourse by strategic communities to construct China threat and thus, foreign policy responses. My research focuses on the Global South, especially the Indo Pacific region and its strategic alignments.
