PhD projects and entry requirements
We provide a rich intellectual environment and excellent research facilities for our research students. As a PhD student you will become a member of our research community.
Applicants are required to hold a bachelors degree in a relevant discipline with a First Class classification or a masters with at least a Merit degree classification (or equivalent based on University conversion guidelines).
English Qualifications: Applicants that do not hold a bachelors or masters degree from an English speaking country obtained within the previous five years prior to the application, need an overall IELTS grade of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component (or equivalent based on University conversion guidelines) completed no more than two years before the start date of your Sheffield course.
