Nominations for the Wall of BAME

We are trying to make Sheffield a more diverse and inclusive university to help welcome and inspire students and staff from under-represented backgrounds, and earlier this year the University launched its new race equality and diversity strategy.

Dr Afua O Twum-Danso Imoh

As part of our strategy to improve representation, the University has set up the Wall of BAME (Black, Asian and Other Minority Ethnic) to celebrate the achievements of our BAME staff, students and alumni, and to showcase to prospective and current students what it is possible for them to achieve and that we will support them all the way.

We'd love to feature more alumni on the Wall of BAME from a range of academic disciplines, career paths and ages. If you would like to be featured, or would like to nominate someone else, please email: internalcommunications@sheffield.ac.uk with a 250 word nomination including your/their achievements. If you are based in Sheffield, we can book a photographer otherwise please send a high-resolution landscape photo of yourself. Please note, we will endeavour to include as many nominations as possible though we cannot guarantee that all submissions will be featured.
