Sheffield Rowing Eight 1970

The Sheffield Rowing Eight - almost certainly on the Thames at the Head of the River Race in 1970. We never won anything but we had a good time!

John Steeds
(BEng Civil & Structural Engineering 1971)

It is a pleasure to share photos of the 60's and 70's, because Sheffield had a big influence on many of us from that time.

Coming from working class backgrounds, with full grants, and all that freedom, what a time we had!

Geology alumni 1971

There were 23 in the year group and 18 of us are still in regular contact with each other, though spread apart as far as Western Australia to the Yukon.
