Developing innovative soloutions with Siemens ACSE students working on a project at a PC in a lab Sheffield Engineering Leadership Academy (SELA) We’re working with industry partners across the region to address the UK skills gap in engineering by supplementing students' technical knowledge with the skills, confidence and aptitude they need to make a positive impact. Developing the leaders of tomorrow Driving technology adoption Focusing on the Sheffield City region, the Regional Technology Foresight project is a two-year ESRC-funded project aimed at identifying the future technologies that will have the greatest impact on advanced manufacturing and materials sectors in Sheffield, and at building a consensus about how best to adapt and exploit these technologies.
