Women in Computer Science
Computer Science, and science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) in general, traditionally suffer from a gender imbalance. In the Department of Computer Science and in the Faculty of Engineering we are happy to be redressing this.
Sheffield Women in Computer Science Society (SWiCS)
The Sheffield Women in Computer Science Society (SWiCS) is all about bringing people together. Founded in 2019, the aim was to create a community within a subject area that can often suffer from a gender imbalance.
women+@ DCS is a group that supports activities for promoting greater inclusion and visibility in computer science teaching, research and academic leadership. They help to identify and promote initiatives that help women in their career paths to established and leadership positions in both academia and in industry.
