Johnny loved studying computer science at school so choosing to study it for his undergraduate degree was an easy decision to make.

Why did you choose to study at Sheffield?

I came to a couple open days at the University of Sheffield and really felt at home in the city. It’s true what they say about the place being like one big village!

Why did you choose to study BSc Computer Science?

Computer science was my favourite subject all through high school. I did well in it in my A levels, and it was the most logical thing to study further at university. The wide range of job prospects in the field are a bonus.

What do you enjoy most about your course?

I really enjoy the logical and mathematical theory involved in computer science, as maths was my second favourite subject in high school.

What do you like best about Sheffield and the University?

The trees! No other city I’ve been to has quite so much green everywhere.

Do you have any plans for after you graduate?

Not currently no, but I’ll figure something out in coming years. Computer science is such a broad area that it will open many doors for me to explore.
