Women in Dentistry: what we have learned from the past century?

The School of Clinical Dentistry is looking forward to welcoming Tamanna Tiwari, Assistant Professor in the Department of Community Dentistry and Population Health and Associate Director, Center for Oral Disease Prevention and Population Health Research in the School of Dental Medicine, University of Colorado, from 9-13th September.

Tamanna will be giving a talk to the School on Wednesday 11th September from 1-2pm on 'Women in Science: what have we learned from the last century?'. The talk will be based on a special issue for Women in Science that was commissioned by the Journal of Dental Research to celebrate the IADR centenary in 2020. The article is due to be published in September and will coincide with her visit to the School.

Whilst visiting the School of Clinical Dentistry, Tamanna will also be giving a talk to the Person-Centred and Population Oral Health group on her research. The talk is entitled 'Paediatric Oral Health Inequalities: Challenges and Solutions" and will be held on Tuesday 10th September at 1-2pm.
