Why did you decide to study this course?
Digital culture is an interesting part of digital media for me. Digital culture relies on various public resources, the Internet and technologies such as AR and VR to store culture in digital form.

What do you like most about your course and the subjects you study?
I am very interested in the course of Language Analysis, AI and Culturomics that I am studying now, which fully demonstrates that human beings can use the Internet to conduct research on digital culture. And I learned a lot of quantitative text analysis methods in this class.

What made you want to study in the UK?
Teachers and students have more opportunities to interact in the classroom.

What attracted you to the University of Sheffield?
A variety of interesting student activities and lively classes.

What is it like to be a PG student in the DHI?
I have more opportunities for self-improvement in the UK, and all the courses are very different from when I studied in China. I really like to finish some group work, which makes me feel that I can improve my academic ability in the process of discussing with classmates.

Do you know what you want to do at the end of your course?
I will try to find a job in the UK because I really like the working atmosphere here.

Has the University been helpful and able to advise you on how to reach your
goals after graduation?

I have been actively contacting the career service of Student Union to seek help for career planning, and I have gained a lot.

What do you like most about living in Sheffield?
Friendly locals and beautiful scenery.

What has been the most difficult thing to get used whilst living in a different
country?

There are a lot of inconveniences under the epidemic, but it's easy to adapt.
