Snow priorities SheffieldPrepare for getting to campus if it snows

If the forecast is accurate, there will be wintry conditions on campus this week.

EFM’s Landscape Team will be working hard to ensure that it is as accessible as possible in snowy and icy conditions, clearing and gritting extensively to help staff, students and visitors get to and from campus and the residences.

We operate priority areas for gritting and clearing to help pedestrians move around campus in adverse conditions – these routes will be dealt with first:

Students’ Union Concourse to Glossop Road; Information Commons/Brook Hill roundabout walkway; Pedestrian walkway from Arts Tower to Brook Hill; Pathway between Hicks and Students’ Union to Glossop Road; Leavygreave Road, opposite the Information Commons; Elmfield; Glossop Road Buildings

If the conditions are safe for staff to drive in, please aim to park in one of our Priority 1 car parks as they will be cleared first:

Goodwin/Northumberland Road; Mushroom Lane; Education/Husband Building; SITraN/Barber House and Annex; Transport Services, Glossop Road; Arts Tower; Health Centre, Gell Street; Robert Hadfield/Badger Lane; Brunswick Street; Drama Studio (evening performances only); Wheeldon Street (EFM Help Desk)

Other University-owned car parks will be cleared after these are completed.

Once on campus, please take care and wear suitable footwear.
