| 14/10/2025 | Various University Buildings | Due to a burst main pipe a number of University buildings are experiencing low water pressure or loss of mains water. This is affecting large parts of Sheffield and not just the University. Yorkshire Water are aware of the issue and working to restore supply as soon as possible. Update 15/10/2025: The water supply has been restored to affected University buildings. Some of those buildings are still experiencing lower pressure than usual. All affected building users should ensure taps are in the off position. On some occasions when water supply is interrupted taps are turned on and when no water comes out they are sometimes forgotten to be turned off again. This can lead to further issues of flooding when the supply has been restored. Yorkshire Water's current update relating to this issue is from 20:20 - and that they are on site dealing with the problem. You can continue to check this page for any further updates. Colleagues from our Facilities Assistants and Campus Safety and Security teams will continue to monitor our buildings. |
