Before you arrive in there are some important tasks you need to complete, choices you need to make and things you need to think about. Make sure you check your email to ensure you are up to date with everything we need you to have done.

Choose your modules

You need to register for 60 credits per semester whilst at The University of Sheffield. This page will give you all the information you need about which departments and modules are available to you. Make sure you look at the Directory of Modules linked at the bottom of the page.

Book your accommodation

If you are coming to study with us for a year you are guaranteed a room in University accommodation if you apply by the deadline. We also have some rooms available for those coming for a semester only. You can see more of the types of accommodation here.

Apply for your visa

If you are going to be in Sheffield for one semester you can apply for a Visitor Visa, if you're going to be here for a full semester you will need to apply for a Student Visa. Visit this page for more information and support.
