Process Development and Innovation activities at the GTIMC will allow us to work more efficiently by optimising our manufacturing processes, increasing productivity, reducing client costs and improving resource utilisation. We will also be able to deliver safer therapeutic products by thoroughly understanding our manufacturing processes, ensuring consistent and reliable results with a strong focus on quality-by-design and an adherence to quality assurance principles.

Integral to this area of the GTIMC is a willingness to collaborate with leading biopharmaceutical and academic partners to pursue and evaluate developing and emerging technologies in the field of advanced therapeutic manufacturing, enabling the GTIMC to remain competitive in the industry, generate novel IP, and stimulate further investment in the sector.

We are already collaborating with several world-leading industry partners, have co-authored a number of competitive research grant proposals together with high-profile industrial and academic partners and are engaged in active discussions with early-phase spin-out companies to evaluate novel analytical techniques for gene therapeutics.
