Why did you want to come to the University of Sheffield to study your chosen degree?

First of all, the teaching quality at Sheffield University is good, especially at the Information School. It ranks high in QS world university rankings. Also, it is a very diverse place with people from all different countries, and therefore there are all kinds of restaurants. What's more, it is a place where you can so easily access nature as the Peak District is just nearby.

What were your favourite things about or best memories of the University of Sheffield?

I've appreciated the support system of University. If there was any question about study or life, I could always find people or organizations to support me, which made my study and life much easier. And I really enjoyed working as a student ambassador for the Information School, which made me have opportunities to work with staff and communicate with students from other countries and subject. Also there were lots of opportunities for volunteering work, so I could contribute my time for the things I care about and make a change. What's more, as an outdoor lover, Sheffield is a perfect place because it is so easier to access Peak District National Park. I never get enough hiking trips in Peak District.

Please explain how has your qualification and/or time at Sheffield helped you in your career?

My time at Sheffield University left me more open-minded and developed my ability to work with a very diversified team, which made me application for a job at an international company easier. The most important thing is that Sheffield experience allowed me to try new things, like work for a LGBTQ charity as a volunteer, make friends from all round the world, which broadened my perspectives. Let me realize that life is full of possibilities and there are lots of ways to live a more passionate and meaningful life.

What has been your greatest achievement to date?
