Sheffield is known for its proficiency in the Materials field and also in the Aerospace sector, for me there was no better option.

What made you choose to study at Sheffield and your course?

My main driver was the area of study, in my case it was very much defined, I knew what I wanted to learn and it just so happened that Sheffield had several MSc programmes that targeted these topics.

What was your initial impression of Sheffield and the University when you first arrived?

It’s a lovely city, not so big but not so small. I thought it wasn’t that rainy but it is. The University is really big and has so many diverse and prominent programmes.

What are the highlights of your experience in Sheffield so far?

I have been here for just one month, and so far I’ve loved the city more than I’d imagined. You can walk everywhere and people have been so kind. The contrast of the industrial city and all the new buildings you see around the city make it so beautiful, it has a really nice vibe.

What would you say to a student considering studying at the University of Sheffield?

Do it! Going to university offers you the opportunity and provides activities that allow you to make friends from the start, the courses are intense but very enjoyable. I’m glad I chose to come here and I would do it again.
