Making the decision to study at Sheffield was a huge step for me because it was my first time studying abroad and all I knew about Sheffield was from the internet so I was quite uncertain. In contrast, I am so thankful that I made the decision to study here, Sheffield is a very culturally diverse city with such a great and welcoming community. I was able to acclimatise perfectly and even went on to assume roles and try out things I never thought I could. I was a Postgraduate student in Information Systems Management and I really could not have asked for more attentive and knowledgeable lecturers.
I have now secured a Technology Consulting Analyst role at Accenture, within their London office. I get to work on different projects across a range of sectors providing innovative solutions to business challenges faced by Accenture’s clients, as well as improving their existing business processes.
I am certain that my degree from Sheffield helped in securing this role for various reasons. Being a student from a Russell group top 100 university certainly gave me an edge. Also, studying a course from a world leading Management school and Information school equipped me with relevant industry skills thus enabling Accenture to have enough confidence in my ability and to sponsor me.
