It will help you to develop links between practice, theory and research through reflection on your own teaching, in order to enhance your professional performance.

This programme will be taught via online modules with individual online tutorial support and independent study.


The iPGCE consists of two modules. Module one is assessed via two pieces of work (each 3,000 words in length). Module two consists of a report on a small-scale research project (equivalent to 6,000 words).

Entry requirements

A good honours degree or at least three years’ experience within a field of education.

English language requirements

Overall IELTS score of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component, or equivalent.
