Thank you for participating in the survey of EMDR therapists. This page provides a reminder of why we are doing the research.
The research is investigating the acceptability of online EMDR and its advantages and disadvantages for therapists and clients.
EMDR Association UK, East Anglia Regional Group is funding this research. The University of Sheffield is acting as the data controller. This means that the University is responsible for looking after your information and using it properly. The legal basis for processing your data is undertaking “a task in the public interest”.
Now you have completed and submitted the online survey we regret that you will not be able to withdraw your responses, because the survey is anonymous so we would not know which answers you provided.
If you do not participate in the interview stage, nobody will be able to identify you from any of the information you provide or in the written report about the research and the research team at the University of Sheffield will not see any of your personal details. We will encrypt all data collected during the interview stage, store it on the secure University fileserver and it delete the data by 31st December 2021. Nobody will be able to identify you in the written report about the research.
If you would like to raise a complaint about the use research, the use of your data or would like further information at any point, we have provided the contact details of three people who will be happy to help you below.
If you agreed to take part in the interview stage to gather more information about your experience of using EMDR Online we may be in touch shortly.
When the research is completed we will provide a link to the published report here.
We thank you for your interest in this project.
