Poster prize for Audrey at White Rose Doctoral Training Centre welcome event 2015

PhD candidate Audrey Dugué-Nevers from the School of East Asian Studies received the winning prize for best research poster at the White Rose Doctoral Training Centre Welcome Event 2015.

White Rose Social Sciences

The White Rose Doctoral Training Centre welcome event 2015 was a conference aimed at welcoming all new PhD social sciences doctoral researchers from the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield and York, which make up the White Rose Social Sciences Doctoral Training Centre.

The conference introduced students to the doctoral development scheme which will be equipping them with research and professional skills for their careers, academic or otherwise.

The event was also an opportunity for PhD students to showcase their experiences and work through presentations and posters. The audience were thus getting familiar with a wide range of compelling research topics from all disciplines, which is certainly making the poster competition difficult, as projects cannot be compared. Winning this feels special and it is a rewarding achievement in a long, intense academic journey.
