Czech journalist, musician and political researcher Jan Macháček visited the University on 5 November to help us mark a significant historical milestone: thirty years since the Velvet Revolution brought an end to the communist regime in Czechoslovakia.
The event was co-sponsored by the General Consulate of the Czech Republic in Manchester and the Sheffield Czech and Slovak Society, and organised in Sheffield by Prof. Neil Bermel (Czech and Russian Studies).
