Orientation Week is a week of events and activities at the start of each semester to welcome our new students to Sheffield.
Our next Orientation Week will be held between 16th-20th September 2019.
Orientation week occurs the week before your Intro Week in either September or February. It offers a range of events and activities to meet fellow new students and complete important tasks.
Typical events include:
- Tours of the campus and the Students' Union
- Talks about immigration, banking, University registration procedures and support services
- Workshops to help with study skills, managing your money and understanding British culture
- Quiz nights, BBQs, karaoke, games and crafts evenings, a club night, cinema, sports sessions etc.
If you think you will benefit from getting to know Sheffield and the University before the rest of the students arrive in Intro Week, we recommend coming along.
Orientation Week is particularly useful for international students as you can find out about British culture, opening a bank account and immigration issues.
