  5. Quarterly Financial Results to 31 January 2023

    • (VEJ in attendance for this item)

    • UEB received and noted the financial results for the University for the six months ended 31 January 2023 and the related report, which compared the results with the budget approved in July 2022.

  7. Report of the UEB Health and Safety Committee

    • (Meeting Held on 9 February)

    • UEB approved the report, including the five Health and Safety Policies set out in the related paper, and noted Health and Safety Committee’s approval of the Terms of Reference for the new UEB Health and Safety Sub-Group and its new Joint Health and Safety Consultative Committee, which that would replace the current body and discharge its strategic and management-level and operational functions in turn.

    • (Meeting Held on 31 January)

    • The report was deferred to a future meeting of UEB.

  9. Round Table

    • Public Affairs: TW reported on an upcoming visit to the University.

    • Windsor Framework: KL informed Members about the key details of the Framework and noted sector accelerated sector campaigning, including via the Russell Group and Universities UK (UUK) to press the case for the UK and EU concluding an arrangement for the UK to associate to Horizon Europe.

    • Race Equality Charter Survey: SF provided an update on current completion rates and asked that the VPs and FVPs continue to promote the survey to colleagues.
