Students taking part in our Study Abroad and Exchange programmes can take advantage of University accommodation at both our Ranmoor/Endcliffe and City locations.
We put on a whole host of free activities including International food events and movie nights to give you the chance to meet new friends and relax after a hard day's study.

Wondering what to expect?
You will be in a private en-suite bedroom with a small double bed, wardrobe, desk, chair and its own shower room including shower, washbasin and water closet. You will share a kitchen/living/dining room with the other students in your flat. The communal kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, kettle, toaster, dining table and chairs.
Living room areas are furnished with comfortable seating and a coffee table. Also available are a vacuum, cleaner, iron, ironing board, mop bucket, dustpan and brush. We do not provide cutlery, crockery or cooking utensils (such as pots, pans, plates or glasses), or bedding items.
International Orientation
We offer separate packages of accommodation for those taking part in International Orientation.

Need to arrive earlier or want to stay in Sheffield longer?
Why not stay in one of our two on-site hotels?
You can enjoy the luxury of a hotel stay at Halifax Hall, situated in a Victorian manor house close to the Ranmoor/Endcliffe accommodation.
Stay anywhere between a night and six months in our modern hybrid hotel, which offers large communal kitchens, open plan social space and two soundproofed rooms for working or studying.
Study Abroad and Exchange students who require accommodation for one semester only are not guaranteed accommodation. A limited number of study bedrooms are available for students who require accommodation for one semester stays; we would encourage all students to apply for accommodation as early as possible and no later than:
- 26 July 2024 to be considered for a study bedroom in Semester 1
- 19 January 2025 to be considered for a study bedroom in Semester 2
