Former student highlights exciting early career possibilities to current undergraduates

Luke Creasey, a project engineer with HMK Automation and Drives and a former MEng student who graduated from our department in 2008 returned last week to describe his experiences to our first year undergraduates as part of their taught programme.

In an excellent and inspiring talk Luke outlined his involvement in a variety of interesting systems and control projects, including those using AC and DC servos to move objects as diverse as a nuclear submarine, sheet steel for the Ford Motor Company and the pop star Pink on her 'Funhouse Tour'!

To round off the presentation Luke emphasised the continuing need for Systems and Control Engineers and gave helpful advice about career planning.
