Dr. Hossein Olya is appointed as senior advisor of General Manager of Cultural Heritage and Handicraft, Sanandaj, Iran. “Dr. Olya’s research on community-based management of Hawraman, a cultural heritage site that has a history dating back more than 7,000 years, contributed in acceptance of the Hawraman application submitted to UNESCO to be listed as a World Heritage Site. The original research published in the Journal of Travel Research has been used as a primary point of reference for both academic and non-academic beneficiaries,” said General Director Mr. Jaqub Gavilyan. This is a real-world demonstration of our research impacts in a developing country.
