The FDM everywoman in Technology Awards shine a spotlight on the tech industry’s most exceptional talent, from the UK and beyond, providing an opportunity for companies and individuals to put forward candidates for categories celebrating all stages of their career journey.

Now in their 11th year, the awards have celebrated over 400 incredible women in tech from school students to C-level, bringing the industry together to recognise and reward their outstanding performance in this constantly evolving sector.

Heidi was entered in the Academic Award category (which was sponsored by VMware). This award recognises women in academia who have made an outstanding contribution to technology and science and whose work has made or has the potential to make a significant long-term impact in STEM. Heidi is the Faculty Director for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. Before that Heidi held the same role within the Department of Computer Science where she was the lead for the Athena SWAN submission which the Department received a silver award for.

I'm really honoured to be given this award in recognition of our work on making the Faculty a more inclusive place for everyone regardless of their backgrounds and circumstances. The FDM everywoman Technology Awards helps to highlight the amazing work done by so many to better support and promote women working in technology and inspire the next generation.
