Student working relationship with the University

If you are selected for the role and subject to meeting eligibility to work in the UK, you will become a Casual Worker of the University.  This means that work will be offered to you as and when it arises, for example to support a particular event or activity.  Some MDH Student Ambassadors will be working on ongoing activity, for example maintaining a blog and keeping it active and the time spent on this sort of activity will be agreed in advance.

Under the Casual Worker Agreement you would be under no obligation to accept a piece of work offered, nor would the University be obliged to offer you work, thus you have full flexibility to prioritise your studies and student life to fit around any work offered.  If you are not active as an MDH Student Ambassador for a period of six months or longer we will contact you to see if you still wish to be involved in the scheme.

Your pay rate will vary depending on the work offered, however it will be £8.68 / hour minimum and Holiday Pay in lieu of Annual Leave is paid in addition.
