- Profile
-
Mehdi's research has currently focused on DNS/LES of unsteady turbulent flow. He has developed a DNS code, "CHAPSim", during his PhD which is currently applied in studying various forms of unsteady flows in a Channel/Pipe with smooth and rough surfaces.
- Qualifications
-
- BSc (Aerospace Engineering)
- MSc (Aerospace Engineering, Aerodynamics)
- PhD (Mechanical Engineering, Study of Turbulence and Wall Shear Stress in Unsteady Flow Over Smooth and Rough Wall Surfaces)
- Research interests
-
- Unsteady turbulent flows (Numerical: DNS/LES; Experimental: PIV/LDV)
- Bypass transition in turbulent-to-turbulent transient flows (Smooth-wall, Rough-wall)
- Control of turbulent flows
- Turbulent flow over rough surfaces
- Aerodynamics of wind turbines
