British Society for the History of Philosophy: Annual Conference

The Department of Philosophy at the University of Sheffield will host the British Society for the History of Philosophy conference this week from 6-8 April 2017. This is the biggest and broadest history of philosophy conference worldwide with over ninety papers, and a hundred delegates.

Keynote speakers

The papers will cover all areas of the history of philosophy. They include a panel on William James (organized by Sheffield PhD student Neil Williams), a panel on Løgstrup organised by Professor Bob Stern, a panel on Schelling and Kant (organised by Sheffield alumni Joe Saunders and Charlotte Alderwick), as well a whole host of other diverse panels including sessions on the ‘Founding Mothers of Analytic Philosophy’, ‘Medieval Logic’, and ‘Pragmatism in South America’.
