Degree-level study in a majority native English speaking country

If you have been awarded a first degree or postgraduate diploma taught in English in a country defined by the UK government as majority native English speaking, this may meet our English language requirements.

You will need to provide evidence confirming the physical location of your study so that this can be reviewed by the Admissions Service.

Some examples of acceptable evidence are:

  • A letter from the institution confirming the physical location of study (remote study is not acceptable)
  • A visa/study permit issued by the country you have been studying in, or eVisa or BRP (Biometric Residence Permit) if you have been studying in the UK

We may also ask you for evidence that your degree or diploma was taught in English.

If this study meets our English language requirements, we will update your offer letter to remove the English language condition.
