Course description

This is a dissertation-only, distance learning course for those who hold a PGDE with 120 valid credits. The programme facilitates you to build on your PGDE learning, helping you to gain all skills necessary to conduct a masters-level dissertation study in your own professional context.

Dissertation (Educational Studies)

Teaching

Teaching takes place via a number of Saturday study schools, spread throughout the year, as well as individual tutor support. The dissertation is split into a 4,000-word proposal, followed by a 12,000–16,000-word dissertation.

1-3 years part-time (distance learning)

Entry requirements

For this dissertation-only programme, you will need Qualified Teacher Status and a PGDE with 120 valid credits, or equivalent.

English language requirements

Overall IELTS grade of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component, or equivalent.
