Course description

If your first degree is in another subject but you want a career in computing, this course is for you. It will give you a solid grounding in software systems engineering and current topics in internet computing.

We use lectures, tutorials and group work.


Assessment is by formal examinations, coursework assignments and a dissertation.


1 year full-time

This course has the perfect balance between programming, databases and web/internet. Also, the project work played a big part in my decision, because in this way I would have some practical experience after graduation.

Entry requirements

Minimum 2:1 honours degree in an engineering or science subject.

English language requirements

Overall IELTS grade of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component, or equivalent.
