- Profile
-
I am a mixed methods researcher with a background in public health and health services research, specialising in the evaluation and development of complex healthcare interventions. I am currently based within the Primary Care Research Group at the University of Sheffield’s Sheffield Centre for Health and Related Research (ScHARR), having previously worked across other research sections within ScHARR. My work focuses on improving healthcare delivery, patient experiences, and person-centred approaches to care across a range of clinical and community settings.
I am currently working on the NIHR-funded RESHAPE CARE study (“Re-Engineering Services for Health: Maximising Person-centred Care”), collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to improve services and patient pathways for people living with multiple long-term conditions, including diabetes and breathlessness.
I joined ScHARR in April 2017 after completing a PhD in Health Services Research. Since then, I have contributed to a wide range of nationally funded programmes and research grants evaluating complex interventions and service redesigns across diverse healthcare settings.
My research experience includes work in cancer care, diagnostic services, ambulance and urgent care services, as well as loneliness and social isolation, nursing education, and long-term condition management. I have experience using qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods approaches.

Alongside my research activities, I teach postgraduate students and supervise dissertations across a range of public health and health services research topics. I am particularly interested in supporting students in developing applied research skills and understanding how research can inform improvements in healthcare services and practice.
