Teachers and Advisers Conference 2018 - Book now!
Our annual conference for teachers and advisers will take place on Friday 8 June 2018 in the Diamond at the University of Sheffield. This annual event is for teachers, managers and advisers at schools and colleges, who have responsibility for supporting students applying to university.
Registration is now open so please book online as places are limited.
This year’s theme is employability and we are pleased to welcome Katherine Bond, the National Schools Engagement Manager for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) to deliver the keynote address.
The University of Sheffield has recently been ranked top in the north for producing employable graduates. The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018 rank Sheffield top in the north for graduate prospects and six University of Sheffield degree subjects are in the top three disciplines for graduate employability prospects in the UK.
Through plenaries and workshops we will look at how the University supports students in gaining entry and encourages the development of employability skills as part of, and alongside, degree programmes.
As usual there will be an information Marketplace providing delegates with the opportunity to speak to staff from academic departments, admissions, recruitment, outreach, careers and many other departments across the University. Throughout the day we aim to equip delegates with updated practical information to take back to their workplace, including information on entry requirements, graduate outcomes, student finance, subject range and choices and the impact of changes to teaching and learning frameworks in both sectors.
Further information and the full conference programme can also be found on the conference homepage.
