I am the Schools Liaison Officer for the Yorkshire & Humber and the North East regions. My role involves visiting schools and giving advice and support to students who are considering University as their next step. I will be providing talks around The University of Sheffield and why Sheffield is such a wonderful place to study, live and work, together with talking about UCAS applications, personal statements and student finance amongst other things.
I completed a BSc (Hons) in Leisure Management and have worked in education for 18 years, both as a Lecturer in Sport and HE manager at Dearne Valley College, Standards Verifier (Pearson) and more recently working at HeppSY on the UniConnect programme. Throughout all of these roles, I have had the pleasure of working with thousands of students. I really enjoy supporting students to reach their aim of progressing to university.
Outside of work,I love anything outdoors and in particular I enjoy both playing and watching cricket, cycling and generally keeping fit.
