UKRE Workshop on Robot Ethics

The inaugural event for UK Robot Ethics (UKRE) is is being run by the Department of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering's Dr Osman Tokhi and is set to take place on 25 March 2013 at Mappin Hall, University of Sheffield.

UK Robot Ethics is a national forum set up to establish the ethical norms to be considered through the whole life cycle of a robotic system. Its design, deployment, use and disposal.

The aim of the workshop is to engage with stakeholders to both disseminate the ethical issues and gather input for determining the UK perspective on various robot ethical issues. The inaugural event is intended to initiate the discussions and public debate within the UK.
