Eye movement disorders

This research theme explores eye movement disorders, including nystagmus and cranial dysinnervation disorders (CCDDs). We use ocular imaging, eye movement recordings, and genetic analyses to understand how these conditions develop and affect patients.

Our team combines clinical expertise with advanced research skills. By integrating full clinical assessments with genetic information, we aim to improve diagnosis, uncover underlying mechanisms, and inform new treatment approaches in eye movement disorders and Uveal Melanoma.

We are committed to enhancing clinician and public knowledge of these conditions through educational resources and information packs. For example, our Nystagmus Information Pack provides practical guidance and support.

Our work spans local studies, multicentre collaborations, and translational research, bridging laboratory discoveries and real-world patient care.
