Electronic and Electrical Engineering offer holder days
As part of your offer holder day at Sheffield, you'll be spending some quality time getting to know the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering and your chosen course.

Arriving at the department
You will have booked to visit us 10am to 12.30pm on your offer holder day. Please arrive in good time for the start of your booked session, as we'll need to scan the QR code from your booking to register you. If you would like to join us for lunch, please see this section of the page below.
Your arrival location is: the The Diamond, main entrance. You can view this on our interactive campus map, and there will also be lots of open day staff and ambassadors around campus to assist you.
If you arrive late for your booked session, please report to the general information stand on the Students’ Union concourse, where event staff will be able to help.
When booking, you'll be able to reserve a place for yourself and one guest at the department activities. To ensure safe venue capacities, the department will be unable to accommodate any additional unbooked visitors.
However, you're welcome to bring additional guests to accompany you on the day, and we would encourage these guests to take part in our range of central exhibitions and tours while the department activities are running.

Science and Engineering Foundation Year
If you're holding an offer for one of our courses with a Foundation Year, you should book your 2.5 hour visit with us as normal, but then also make a point to attend our Science and Engineering Foundation Year talk which will run 1pm to 1.30pm in Diamond Lecture Theatre 9, on the second floor of the Diamond building. No pre-booking is required for this SEFY talk, but all foundation year offer holders are strongly encouraged to attend to learn more about this part of your course.
Taster lab
On the day you'll get a chance to take part in a taster session in our fantastic Electronics and Control Laboratory, where you'll take part in an activity representative of the sort of things you'll be getting up to should you choose to come and study with us.
Parents and supporters tour
While you are taking part in activities, the guest you have brought along to support you on the day will receive a tour of the Diamond Building, the state-of-the-art facility where you'll spend most of you time here at Sheffield. They'll also get a chance to speak to current students and staff about the exciting opportunities that are available to you and where a degree from Sheffield can lead.
Research labs tour
By joining us on the day, you'll also have a chance to see what our researchers are working on here in the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering. We'll give you a tour of our professional research labs, where our researchers (many of whom are alumni from our undergraduate degrees in the department) are working on the technologies of the future!
What else should I fit in when I'm not with my department?
For the rest of the day, you'll have time to take part in the central tours and exhibitions detailed in our offer holder day guide.
