If I want to park at the university, what do I do?

Do you really need to park….All parking on campus is by permit only. Please go to our parking webpage where you can see the range of permit types available, their costs and permissions, and a map of all parking locations. Some permits allow free parking but only within certain parameters.

I have looked at the webpage about permits, etc. How do I apply?

I have an engineer/contractor installing/working for us on … how can I get them a parking permit?

All contractors require a permit to park and must pay for their parking on campus. The allocation of an actual space is determined by need. Please complete this form: University contractor parking permit request

Your contractor can then download the Connect Cashless app and pay using location code 7060. The parking team will send you the tariff when you request the permit.

If your contractor needs to enter the Arts Tower car park, please complete this form: Arts Tower Access

In most cases, visitors to the University are directed to Q-Park on Durham Road or Rockingham Street, or the NCP on Solly Street. For specific cases, such as Blue Badge holders, those requiring disabled access, or equipment un/loading, it is best to email parking@sheffield.ac.uk as different faculties, and therefore their car parks, occasionally have different protocols.
