Description

Visual counting tools to study the molecules of the healthy and failing heart

Presented by: Dr. Izzy Jayasinghe, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Molecular Biology & Biotechnology

This talk will outline how we have harnessed super-resolution image data to characterise how the cells and tissues of both healthy and failing hearts function. Examples presented will include the use of image-based molecule counting tools to understand the changes in protein expression and organisation in cardiomyocytes.
