Lots of knowledge shared over the last 58 years

Congratulations and thank you to Professor Chris Potter who gave his last MBChB teaching class on Friday 29th March 2019. Chris, Emeritus Professor of Virology gave his first lecture to Sheffield MBChB in 1961.

He ‘officially retired’ in 1999, after a mere 320 publications, >100 in Influenza research.

Dr Paul Collini, Deputy Head of the Department of Infection, Immunity & Cardiovascular Disease said "Chris has been an inspirational teacher and source of knowledge that we will sorely miss. Enjoy your retirement at last!"

We are extremely privileged to have had the benefit of Chris’s teaching and will greatly miss him.
