Postgraduate visit afternoons
Interested in postgraduate study but missed the open day? Our postgraduate visit afternoons take place on the first Wednesday of every month.

Our visit afternoons are currently postponed until further notice.
What to expect at a postgraduate visit afternoon
Our postgraduate visit afternoons give you the opportunity to:
- take a postgraduate campus tour
- talk to staff about postgraduate opportunities and learn more about postgraduate funding, how to apply and other important issues
- meet and chat to current postgraduate students
Registration for a postgraduate visit afternoon takes place at 1pm and the visit will finish at 3pm. This allows time for your school/department meeting, if required.
Postgraduate campus tours
Our postgraduate campus tours, part of the postgraduate visit afternoon, are led by trained student guides and take approximately one hour and 15 minutes. You can find out what Sheffield has to offer from a student perspective, tour our facilities and take an optional tour of our libraries and facilities for research students.
You should report to our campus tour welcome desk shortly before 1pm on your visit date. We'll send you a confirmation email with full programme details nearer the event date.
If you've booked for a postgraduate visit afternoon then you don't need to book separately for a campus tour.
Can’t make a postgraduate afternoon visit?
If you can't make a postgraduate visit afternoon, you can still take a general campus tour on another day. These tours are delivered by either an undergraduate or postgraduate student and only include a campus tour.

International postgraduate taught scholarships
We offer a generous package of financial support for international postgraduate taught students, including scholarships worth £10,000 towards the original tuition fee.
Applications are open for existing offer holders for a postgraduate taught programme starting in September 2025.
