Our inward visits help students to experience student life and study at The University of Sheffield.
How to book
Please contact your regional Student Recruitment Officer to book an inward visit for your post-16 students. Our team can also work with you to plan a bespoke programme for your visit.

Inward visit programme
As part of the booking process, you will work with our Student Recruitment Team to create an inward visit programme which is tailored to your availability and the needs of your students. Please see our sample timetable which provides an example of the activities we can offer:
| Time | Activity | Description |

| 10am | Arrival on campus | Arrive at The University of Sheffield and meet with student ambassadors who will escort you to your lecture theatre. |
| 10.15am | Welcome and overview of The University of Sheffield | An introduction to the day and short presentation on The University of Sheffield. |
| 10.30am | Student life presentation and Q&A with current students | An opportunity to hear from our current students as they share their university experience and take questions on student life. |
| 11.15am | Campus tour or Sheffield city tour | Explore our world-class facilities on a tour of the campus, or soak up the atmosphere of Sheffield on a city tour. |
| 12.15pm | Lunch and free time to explore the Students’ Union | Students can buy lunch in our award winning Students’ Union, taking time to explore the range of services and amenities on offer. |
| 1.15pm | HE information, advice and guidance session or academic taster lecture | Select one of our IAG talks or workshops, designed to support students as they prepare to apply for HE. Alternatively, we may be able to offer you a taster lecture, lead by academic staff (dependant on availability). |
| 2.30pm | Departure | Our staff or student ambassadors will escort you back to your departure point for the return journey. |
