Green Impact Awards Success

Pauline NarvasWe celebrated success at the University's Green Impact Awards ceremony this week - winning 'Gold' award for the Department, a 'Bronze' award for Green Impact project, and an 'Environmental Hero' award for our Green Impact Champion, Pauline Narvas. This achievement is testament to the energy and enthusiasm of our Green Impact Team - Pauline Narvas, Clea Carroll, Amy Woolley, Simon Beecroft, Bryony Olney and Alistair McCloskey - who were supported by a fantastic Green Impact Assistant, Kate Tyne.

Malcolm Tait, Head of Department, commented - "This is a real achievement, particularly as we have jumped from 'Bronze' straight to 'Gold'. I want to thank the whole team for their sterling work in helping us become a more green department. Special mention should be made for Pauline, who as our Green Impact Project Champion has driven the whole project forward with great energy and enthusiasm. I don't think we would have made such strides without Pauline's passion and determination to make our activities a real success. Well done everyone!"

The 'Bronze' award for Green Impact Project was awarded for a video produced by Pauline and Clea about our 'Big Christmas Switch Off'.
