Robotics and Autonomous Systems
This research group carries out world leading research in robotics and autonomous robotic systems by investigating key research problems of sensing, control, decision making and system integration.
Signal Processing and Control
The Complex Systems and Signal Processing research group is internationally leading in the development of techniques and algorithms for complex systems analysis, control and signal processing and the application of these in emerging areas of science, engineering and medicine.
Data Science and Machine Learning
The group is internationally renowned for its work on multi-objective evolutionary optimization algorithms, intelligent health monitoring and fault diagnosis, decision support systems for biomedicine, information processing and computational data modelling.
Verbalising machine needs with data
Manufacturing companies strive for high productivity and minimal waste but some failures are out of their control. Professor George Panoutsos has developed a framework to understand the needs of machines and prevent these future failures.
