Communicating and making a difference

  • Amnesty International: The world's leading human rights organisation, campaigning against injustice and inequality everywhere.
  • 38 Degrees: One of the UK's largest campaign organisations.
  • Avaaz: A campaigning community bringing people-powered politics to decision making worldwide.
  • Sheffield RAG (Raising And Giving): Fundraising events throughout the academic year, organised by Sheffield Students' Union.

Building awareness

  • Wrestling with doubt: A Christian perspective on dealing with doubt in the spiritual life.
  • Talk to a chaplain: Contact details for talking to a chaplain at the University of Sheffield.
  • Discussion group: A group run by Upper Chapel Unitarian Church discussing topics in areas around modern living, current affairs, psychology and spirituality.
  • Alpha course: The basics of Christianity explored, normally over a period of around 10 weeks.

International Merit Scholarships

We offer a generous package of financial support for international students including 75 undergraduate scholarships worth £10,000 towards the annual tuition fee and 125 postgraduate taught scholarships worth £5,000 towards the tuition fee. Applications are now open for existing offer holders.
