- Control theory
- Distributed parameter systems
- PDE-based analysis of multi-agent systems
- Time-delay and networked control systems
My research is dedicated to robust control of dynamical systems described by partial differential equations and delay differential equations. I design stabilising controllers and study their robustness to various phenomena occurring in practice, such as input/output delays, external disturbances, measurement noise, parameter uncertainties, etc. The main research tools are Lyapunov functionals, linear matrix inequalities, and Fourier series. Application areas include swarm robotics, traffic flows, and nuclear fusion.
