Miss Gemma Gibson

I have been working at The University of Sheffield since 2013 (with a 2 year gap to do some travelling).  I started working in ScHARR as a clerical assistant and have since had a few different roles, including PGR Administrator, Student Support Officer and my current role of GTA co-ordinator for Multidisciplinary Engineering Education (MEE).

MEE has a very large pool of GTAs (upwards of 180) which is the most GTAs used by one department in the Faculty of Engineering. In my role as GTA co-ordinator, I am responsible for recruiting, inducting, scheduling, training compliance and timely payment of GTAs (to name a few duties). Since starting the role, I have worked on GTA feedback, HEA support and am working towards building a GTA community and hosting a GTA Awards Ceremony.
