Winter Graduation - January 2018
Research Candidates (not already conferred in absentia)
In order to be guaranteed an invitation to attend a graduation ceremony in January 2018, you have to have your degree awarded and have received formal notification from Research and Innovation Services by 30 September 2017.
Research Candidates who have their degree awarded by this date will be contacted by email in early October and invited to register online. Emails will be sent to your University email address and the personal email address held on your student record. If no personal email address is held, the email will be sent to your University account only.
If you have an award letter showing an award date between 1 August and 30 September 2017 and have not received correspondence from us by the end of October, you should contact us immediately by emailing email@example.com
If your degree is awarded after the 30 September cut off point
Following the closing date for receipt of ceremony registration forms (approximately the end of November), we may be in a position to include further candidates should space permit. If this is the case, we will contact eligible candidates by email if and when space becomes available. However, we must stress that it is extremely unlikely we will be able to include further candidates and any arrangements you make regarding travel etc are made at your own risk.
Otherwise, your award will be conferred in absentia at the end of January. You will receive notification of the conferment of your award by email in February 2018.
Please do not contact us if you have an award letter with an award date on or after 1 October 2017, as we will not be able to offer you any further guidance. If we are able to include you in a graduation ceremony in January 2018, we will contact you.
