We offer a variety of accredited courses, from undergraduate and postgraduate degrees through to apprenticeships, to help you embark on a career in healthcare.

Dental Surgery
Our five year Dental Surgery BDS programme will give you the practical, hands-on experience and skills to prepare for a fulfilling career as a dentist.
Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy
Dental Hygienists and Dental Therapists are important members of the dental team. They monitor the oral health of patients, and have the skills to prevent and treat gum disease and tooth decay.
Medicine
Our MBChB Medicine programme is designed to give you the clinical skills, knowledge, professional behaviours and attitudes to become an excellent doctor.
As well as our standard five-year course, we also offer a shorter Graduate Entry route for life science graduates from backgrounds that are underrepresented in higher education.
Midwifery
Our three-year midwifery masters is designed to teach you how to provide excellent pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care to women, birthing individuals and their families.
Nursing
1st in the UK for Nursing

We offer a range of routes into nursing depending on your current qualifications and employment status. Our Nursing degree with a Foundation year is suitable for mature students without standard entry qualifications.
We offer three apprenticeship routes into nursing for students who want to earn while they learn. These apprenticeships are suitable for people who are already employed by an NHS Trust or healthcare organisation.
Our 18-month and two year apprenticeships include the same course content, but the two year programme allows apprentices to spend more time in their base area.

Orthoptics
Study our three-year Orthoptics degree and specialise in the diagnosis, management and treatment of eye movement disorders and visual impairments.
Pharmacy
Our four-year pharmacy course is designed to give you the essential knowledge, skills and attributes needed to support patients as a qualified pharmacist and prepare you for evidence-based prescribing.
Applicants with a GPhC recognised Pharmacy Technician Qualification can also study this course with a preparatory year which prepares them for degree-level study.
Physician Associate Studies
Physician Associates (PAs) are health professionals who work under the supervision of doctors to address patients’ health needs. During this two year masters you’ll have direct contact with patients, and develop the skills and knowledge required to become a well-rounded clinician.

Our accredited speech and language therapy course combines clinical practice and theory with case-based learning, preparing you for a rewarding career supporting people with communication or swallowing difficulties. Our undergraduate degree is also available with a foundation year for mature students without standard entry requirements.
If you already have a degree, you can choose to study our masters in Speech and Language Therapy and qualify in either two or three years (full time or part time).

We also offer a four-year speech and language therapy degree apprenticeship. Apprenticeship places are advertised locally in partnership organisations (such as NHS jobs), and combine work-based learning with online study.
